To leave a legacy, you have to live a legacy.  My life has been no storybook fairytale, I’ve

had countless struggles to overcome.  I know now with certainty, the love of God carried

me through.  The decision to change my life comes from the love I have for my children, as I

change, my family will be restored through Jesus Christ.

I gave my life to Christ in 1991, a young girl seventeen, just married, pregnant with my first

born; with a strong desire to change my life for her immediately. Then, I became  pregnant with

my second daughter.  The doctors informed me that her heart was not developing  properly.

My daughter died on the operating table twenty four hours after her birth.  Unanswered

questions, depressed, without faith, I turned my back on God, I then began my journey in life as

I call it, in a fight with God.

Through events that have taken place in my life, I have watched everything I love collapse. I

decided to surrender myself to God giving it all to him.  I am back in church, reading the Bible

with a desire to serve and follow.  I am currently seeking a home church to grow in and serve.

After graduation from SUM Bible College, I will go in the direction the Lord leads me in.  I am a

sales person by nature and giver by heart.  My plans are “to sell” salvation to the world.  I

believe I will be a part of an inner city ministry, helping the less fortunate find the fortune of

the Lord.

I realize in order to leave a legacy you must live a legacy.  I’m done running, hiding and fighting.

I’m ready to be the woman of God I was born to be. I was born on Pearl Harbor Day, my mother

said I exploded into this world.  Reborn I will explode in Christ as a fisher of people.  I will leave

a legacy that I was God’s beloved child for my children to inherit and continue on with their

children and their children’s, children.

  1. My daughter, I am proud of the steps you are taking in your walk with the Lord. Remember, it's one day at a time. Some say "it's boring being a Christian" well for me it's the most exciting adventure I've ever experienced. I love you my Rosebud. Your Mom
